Jade Coutts

Jade started ballet at the age of three in Singapore and upon moving to Cairns with her family in 1996, continued her training at Turning Pointe Dance Studios under the direction of Leticia Savage. In 2005 at age 14, Jade relocated to Melbourne to train at The Australian Ballet School. In 2008 she continued her dance training at Queensland University of Technology graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance). Her professional performance credits include Launch pad with Expressions Dance Company in 2010 and In One Day with the Melbourne Ballet Company in 2011. Jade’s passion for her craft has seen her embrace all aspects of the theatre and performance world and led to her musical theatre debut in The King and I (Opera Australia/ GFO) Australian tour in 2014. She went on to play the iconic role of Victoria the White Cat in the Australian/New Zealand tour of Cats (Lunchbox Theatrical Productions/ The Really Useful Group) in 2015/16. She also performed in The Love for Three Oranges (Opera Australia) in 2016 and couldn’t be more excited to join Evita alongside an amazing cast!
