Rachel Cole

Rachel is a 2011 graduate of ED5 International in Sydney. Most recently, she played The Acrobat in the Original Australian cast of Matilda the Musical, where she understudied Miss Honey, Mrs Wormwood and Mrs Phelps (Royal Shakespeare Company/ LWA). Rachel’s musical theatre credits include Nessa Rose cover/Swing on Wicked (GFO: Asia, Aust & NZ), Chess (The Production Company) and Promises Promises (The Production Company). Her credits for Opera Australia include La Boheme (2011, 2012 and 2014 seasons), The Marriage of Figaro, The Love of the Nightingale, Die Tote Stadt and La Forza del Destino. Rachel has also worked extensively as a session singer for Grinspoon (Homebake Sydney), James Morrison (Sydney Jazz Festival) and recording backing vocalist for EMU Music Australia.
Rachel has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Sydney and is a qualified Property Investment Advisor. She is also prolific writer. For the past three years she has written Australia’s most read theatre column, Stage Door Shrink, for Aussie Theatre, is published in the arts magazine Limelight, and writes and performs stand-up comedy at The Story Club at The Chaser’s Giant Dwarf in Sydney.
