R. Kim Jordan

Associate Choreographer

Kim Jordan started her career as a ballet dancer. First with NY School of Ballet (Terpsichore) then with Zurich Opera Ballet and Elliot Feld Ballet. After 2 seasons on Fame (the TV series) choreographed by Debbie Allen, Kim moved back to NY to pursue theatre. After several shows in the regions and several more Broadway shows working for Peter Gennaro, Jerome Robbins, and Twyla Tharp to name a few, Kim was cast to be the Tango Dancer and understudy the Mistress in Evita directed by Hal Prince and Choreographed by Larry Fuller. Evita took her to 5 continents (now 6) and 27 different productions as the choreographic supervisor. She re-joined the original creative team to recreate the direction and choreography for a national tour in the USA. Thus began her mentorship under these illustrious men. Since then she has directed Children’s Opera at Lincoln Center several shows for Norwegian Cruise Lines/ Oceania and choreographed many national tours, Oklahoma!, Grand Hotel and Meet Me in St Louis to name a few, as well as assisting Larry Fuller on Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway, and the National tour. Kim has sat on the Board of AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Actors) and currently is in her 9th year as the 2nd VP of Actors’ Equity Association (the oldest performing union in the States). Ms Jordan comes from true Broadway royalty (3rd generation), but is most proud of her daughter who graduated from University / Drama School this year and opening in a new play in NYC this October.
